چکیده

The authors consider the empirical likelihood method for the regression model of mean qualityadjusted lifetime with right censoring. They show that an empirical log-likelihood ratio for the vector of the regression parameters is asymptotically a weighted sum of independent chi-square distributions. They obtain an adjusted empirical log-likelihood ratio which is asymptotically standard chi-square, and construct corresponding confidence regions. They conclude that empirical likelihood methods outperform the normal approximation methods in terms of coverage probability, based on simulation studies. They illustrate the applicability of the proposed methods with a data example from a breast cancer clinical trial study. Title in French: we can supply this Résumé : Insérer votre résumé ici. Empirical likelihood inference for censored median regression with weighted empirical hazard functions

In recent years, median regression models have been shown to be useful for analyzing a variety of censored survival data in clinical trials. For inference on the regression parameter, there have been a variety of semiparametric procedures. However, the accuracy of such procedures in terms of coverage probability can be quite low when the censoring rate is heavy. In this paper, based on weighted...

Inference for the Type-II Generalized Logistic Distribution with Progressive Hybrid Censoring

This article presents the analysis of the Type-II hybrid progressively censored data when the lifetime distributions of the items follow Type-II generalized logistic distribution. Maximum likelihood estimators (MLEs) are investigated for estimating the location and scale parameters. It is observed that the MLEs can not be obtained in explicit forms. We provide the approximate maximum likelihood...

Inference for the Proportional Hazards Family under Progressive Type-II Censoring

In this paper, the well-known proportional hazards model which includes several well-known lifetime distributions such as exponential,Pareto, Lomax, Burr type XII, and so on is considered. With both Bayesian and non-Bayesian approaches , we consider the estimation of parameters of interest based on progressively Type-II right censored samples. The Bayes estimates are obtained based on symmetric...

Jackknife Empirical Likelihood for Smoothed Weighted Rank Regression with Censored Data

Rank regression is a highly-efficient and robust approach to estimate regression coefficients and to make inference in the presence of outlying survival times. Heller (2007) developed a smoothed weighted rank regression function, which is used to estimate the regression parameter vector in an accelerated failure time model with right censored data. This function can be expressed as a U -statist...

Empirical likelihood ratio with arbitrarily censored/truncated data by EM algorithm

Mai Zhou 1 University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY 40506 USA Summary. Empirical likelihood ratio method (Thomas and Grunkmier 1975, Owen 1988, 1990, 2001) is a general nonparametric inference procedure that has many nice properties. Recently the procedure has been shown to work with some censored/truncated data with various parameters. But the computation of the empirical likelihood ratios with c...
